Submission rules

01. Submission form has to be complete

Every submission should be accompained by a fully and correctly completed submission form. There are several point on which this can go wrong. However, keeping following rules in mind should strongly reduce the risk of making mistakes.

02. Don't use effects we're unable to print

Avoid the use of gold, silver and other glossy or fluorescent effects. Although it's possible to print these using screens, we're unable to reproduce them digitally for the moment.

03. Use the official templates and preview mocks

We need your designs to be submitted on our official Envelop templates. Don't submit the artwork on an alternative template.

04. Don't mess with copyrighted material

A submission will be declined if it contains copyrighted material, no doubt about it. For more information about common copyright issues (celebrity likenesses, trademarks, parody, ...) please check http://www.envelop.eu/info/help.

05. Beware of inappropriate content

A submission will be declined if it contains material that is defamatory, infringing, racist, onbscene, or unlawful.

06. No text-only

A submission can be declined if it contains only or mostly text. Envelop is not against
artwork containing text, but often text-based design is very sloganeque and rarely original.
If you really want to use text, try to integrate it into the design: style it or even create your very own font.

07.  No photo-only

Same for photography. A submission will almost never be accepted if it contains only (or mostly) photography. Digital photography is so widely spread and so 'easy' to practice, that photo-based design is often far too thin to be considered for approval.

08. Check your image quality

A design will be declined if your image is pixilated. Make sure to save your Print-Ready Images at highest possible resolution.

09. Go off-road!

This last one is a difficult one, but here we go. The idea behind Envelop is to promote off-road textiles. We hope you understand that, if we fill the store with too much common items, these foundations will be weakened. Mainstream designs are 'types of designs' that are easily found in other textiles stores as well.
Since we want to keep this project fresh, we reserve the right to decline some submissions that are too common, even if all other conditions are fullfilled.
